He was predeceased by: his son Ricky Shaver; and his siblings, Richard Shaver, Delores Heishman, Jean Timberman, Evelyn Heishman and Jo Coppi.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shaver (Brown); his children, Sheri Herd (Mike), Ron Shaver (LuAnn), Randy Shaver (Melea) and Rich Shaver (Pat); and his grandchildren, Jaclyn Stephenson (Nic), Jaryn Becker (David), Bryan Shaver (Rochelle), Brett Shaver (Carrie), Kristina Clifton, Kevin Shaver, Brittany Shaver and Kristen Shaver.
