He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Donald Phipps; his spouse Shirley M. Overholser; his children, Robin Leising (Joseph) of Lebanon, IN, Robert W. Phipps, Jr. and Randall Phipps (Cindy) of Greenwood, IN; his grandchildren, Olin Leising of Will Phipps, Sydney Leising, Kate Phipps, Alexa Phipps, Sadie Phipps, Lauren Conforti and Maggie Steffel; his brothers, Carroll Phipps (Gary Phipps) and Several; and his mother Goldie Phipps.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
