He was predeceased by: his wife Lois "Jean" Reason; his mother Kathryn Snyder; and his siblings, Kay Warner and Jim Snyder. He is survived by: his children, Brad Long and Janet Cox (Gordon); and his grandsons, Matt Cox, Chris Cox and Kyle Cox.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Chapter of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation at MCSF.org/event/Indiana in memory of Mike Long.
