She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith and Mildred Irene Smith (Leisure); her husband Robert Lee Dawson; her son Steven Dawson; and her siblings, Arthur Smith, Helen Apt and Jean Etnier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diana Winings, Jody K. Milstead (Tom) and Vickie Hults (Kerry); her daughter-in-law Mary Dawson of Jones, MI; and her grandchildren, Terry Winings (Carie), Lori Carbaugh, Robin McBride (Brad), Rachel Wagner (Paul), Zachary Dawson, Tonya Myers (Neil), Karla Costner (Christopher) and Kyle Reed (Linsey).
Memorial donations may be made to the Shiloh Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
