It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Heckard (Logansport, Indiana), who passed away on March 19, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Nelson and Elsa Nelson (Richason); and her brother Donald Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Rhodes (John), Tom Heckard (Cindy) and Stephen Heckard (Dawn); her grandchildren, Seth Heckard, Jordan Heckard (Megan), Andrew VanZee, Adam VanZee and Heidi Strong (Seth); her great grandchildren, Ava Heckard, Sienna VanZee, Scarlett VanZee, Natalyn VanZee, Charlie Heckard, Colton VanZee and Kellen Strong; her stepgreat-grandson James Strong; her sister Phyllis Herd; and her sister-in-law Sallie Nelson of San Benito, TX..
