He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. Cira and Lena Antonia Corso; and his sister Magalene Showley. He is survived by: his wife Frances Cira of Logansport; his children, James Cira of Logansport and Karen Aldridge (William) of South Carolina; his sister Roseann Cira of Logansport; his grandchildren, Derek Aldridge (Brittney), Evan Aldridge (Samantha), Cameron Aldridge, Emilia Aldridge and Corbin Aldridge; and his great grandchildren, Lena, Christine and Benjamin Aldridge.
