He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Emerson and Ethel Pearl Noble (McMullun). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean DeHaven; his children, Diana "Dee" Dowell (Erman) of Logansport, Lou Ann Brown (Gerald) of Logansport, Laura Albright (Rick) of Logansport and Nelson Noble (Marilyn); and his sister Myra Vanecek of Lawrenceburg, IN. He is also survived by grandchildren; 2-step grandchildren; 13-great grandchildren; 3-step great grandchildren; and 7- great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Memorial Fund.
