He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter S. Parkins and Blanche Parkins (Kirk); his daughter Kim Miller; and his siblings, Bonnie Zvorak, Paul Dean Parkins, Bill McDonald and Victor McDonald.
He is survived by: his former wife Phyllis Joan Cree; his wife Libby Tucker; his children, Kathy Hellriegel (Dave) of High Springs, FL, Kevin Parkins, Alva E. Parkins Jr., Tracy Parkins (Patti) and Ken Halsne of Columbus, OH; his stepchildren, Matt Miller and Suzanne Miller; and his brother Thomas J. Parkins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; a step granddaughter; 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
