It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin K. Nelson of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, born in Dillsboro, Indiana, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Nelson and Lula Mae Nelson (Holdcraft); his grandson Edward Nelson; and his son-in-law Robert Oakely. He is survived by: his wife Shelba Nelson of Lawrenceburg, IN; his children, Kenneth Nelson (Patrice) of Lawrenceburg, IN and Carolyn Oakley of Lawrenceburg, IN; his granddaughter LaDonna Kaiser (Casey); and his great grandchildren, Sebastian Nelson, Sabrina Nelson and Kelly Kaiser.
