She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dalton and Zelma Miller; her husband William Hooks; and her siblings, Joe, Norman, Marie Wright, Ona Morris and Wynette Gibson.

She is survived by: her sister Hazel; and her children, Ann Bruner, Shane (Linda Hooks) and Danny (Sheri Hooks). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
