We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2024, at the age of 84, Wilbur Van Dokkenburg of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Paterson, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Dokkenburg and Alice Tuit Van Dokkenburg; his sisters, Wilma Otte and Carol Jacobsen; and his son-in-law Attila Bendjak.
He is survived by: his friend Ron Betten; his children, Becky, Steve (Sue), Sally Cremer (John) and Paul (Ashby); his grandsons, Oliver, Emmanuel and Isaac Van Dokkenburg; his children, David, Rachel, Alissa, Sarah, Jason, Caleb Cremer, Nathan (Emma), Ellen, Anna and Brandon Van Dokkenburg; his wife Janice Vlietstra; his siblings, Linda Anderson, Kathy Prinsen (Neil) and David (Betsy); and his siblings-in-law, John Jacobsen, Jo VanderWall (Michael), Donna Mejeur (Bob) and Rhoda Mejeur (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, loved ones can make memorial contributions to Sunrise Christian Reformed Church, Lafayette Christian School or to Gideons.
