She was predeceased by: her parents, Darrell A. Stout and Elizabeth Stout (Byrd); her husband James H. "Jim" Gilkey; her son Darrell Gilkey; and her daughter-in-law Marie Gilkey.
She is survived by: her children, James Gilkey of Lafayette, Joel Gilkey (Marci) of Edmonton, Alberta, Anita Albaugh (Steve) of Mulberry, IN and Scott Gilkey (Jamie) of Lafayette; and her sisters, Rachel Maxwell of Lafayette and Esther Digh (Ned) of Fulton, MO.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana Veterans Home in loving memory of Ruth & James.
