He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Alkire and Ellen Alkire (Moore); and his wife Frances White. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Alkire of Lafayette, Brian Alkire (Melissa Franks) of West Lafayette and Shawn Alkire (Brenda) of Dayton; his siblings, Alan Alkire (Denise) of Lafayette and Marsha Biery (Max) of Morristown, TN.; his grandchildren, Payton Alkire, Kaitlyn Alkire (Brady Myers) and Kennedy Alkire; and his stepgrandson Anthony Harsch.
