He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Leora (Chapman) and John T. Kast. He is survived by: his wife Ruth O'Connor; his children, James L. Kast (Sue Kaminsky) of Winamac, Linda R. Abel (Michael) of Xenia, OH, Douglas J. Kast (Lynn Revak) of Clarkston, MI and Dennis M. Kast (Deborah Wood) of Wildwood, MO.; his grandchildren, David, Nathan, Anastasia, Joshua, Jenna, Matthew, John, Bradley, Steven, Tyler and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Howie, Lara, Audrey, Cassidy, Nolan, Natalie, Delaney, William, Jordan, Titus and Madison; and his siblings, G. Evalyn Weisenborn (Lynne), Marjorie Hubbard, Elsie Plumb, John Kast (Stanley), Rolland Kast and Merwin Kast.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Lafayette, Kiwanis International or Purdue University.
