With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Donald Yochem of Lafayette, Indiana, born in Fowler, Indiana, who passed away on August 28, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Yochem and Irene Yochem (Anstett); and his siblings, Marvin Yochem and Joan Cassman. He is survived by: his wife Berniece A. Schellenberger; his daughters, Barbara Edmondson (Gary) of Lafayette, IN, Linda Fields (Steve) of Lafayette, IN and Christine Derry of Glen Ellyn, IL.; and his grandchildren, Brandt Hasser, Ryan Hasser, Amanda Pemble, Ross Edmondson, Ellie Fields, John Derry and Luke Derry. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
