He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Jackson and Frances Jackson (Gustafson); his wife Janet L. Borton; and his brothers, James and Ray Jackson.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Jackson and Sheryl Hinton; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan and Sharla. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
