He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Plantenga and Ella Plantenga (Hockema). He is survived by: his wife Jean C. Bergman; his sons, Chris Franceschina of Dayton, IN and Ruben Orta of Somerset, KY; his brother Harold Plantenga (Mary); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Megan Franceschina, Kasey and Christopher Orta.
