It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Elizabeth Fryer-Hopkins of La Porte, Indiana, born in Harvey, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William J. Fryer and Dolores A. Fryer (Hoffarth); her husband Wayne Hopkins; her brothers, James A. Fryer of Matteson, IL and William M. Fryer (Karen) of Estes Park, CO; and her pet Josephine.

“I met Jan when we were both 22 years old and we worked together in downtown Chicago. It was a great time to be young and we had good times. She was one of my bridesmaids. I'm happy we stayed friends and in touch through the years. I always appreciated her honesty - I could count on her to tell me the truth. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor - sometimes dry and deadpan but always right on! I will be one of the many people who will miss her. Esther Jakawich (Virginia)”
