It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerlinde Smith of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Georg Schwarz and Louisa Schwarz; her son William Smith; and her husband Ronald Smith. She is survived by: her children, Allan Smith, Christine Reese and Susan Long (Jefferson); her brothers, Gerhard Schwarz, Helmut Schwarz and Dieter Schwarz; and her sister-in-law Ruth Ann Smith. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
