He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kenneth and Juanita Schnable (Jones); his wife Eleanore A. "Ellie" Malec; his daughter Theresa Schnable; and his sister Kathleen Bachert (Schnable).
He is survived by: his sons, K. Dirk Schnable (Amy Tomczak) of LaPorte and William Brook Schnable (Francisca Thompson) of LaPorte; and his sister Judith Whitaker (Schnable) of Hammond, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
