He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Mary Louise Yard (Guge); his siblings, Bob Yard (Margaret), Benny Yard, Ralph Yard, Freddy Yard and Debbie Blakely; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Osborne and Thomas Aaron.
He is survived by: his wife Sondra Pierce; his children, Connie Jolliffe (Barry), Jerry Yard Jr. (Christy), Rick Yard (Sherry) and Susan Ragan (Bryan); his grandchildren, Melissa Williams (Phil), Bryan Jolliffe (Kala), Jamie Markley (Justin), Sarah Markley (Ryan), Joseph Yard, Craig Yard (Emily Greer), Brandon Yard (Megan), Nathan Yard (Ashley), Matt Cook (Danielle), Jacob Cook, Carisa Richardson (Eric) and Cliff Ragan; and his siblings, Bill Yard (Bonnie), Charles Yard (Carol), Carolyn Aaron, Diana Anderson and Cheryl Yard. He is also survived by 30 Great grandchildren.
