He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Griffin and Hilda Griffin (Hasty); his son Jeff Griffin; his son-in-law Ron Kemp; and his siblings, Jean Mullinex and Doris Scott.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Montgomery; his daughter Shelley Kemp; his grandchildren, Daniel Griffin (Kristine), Eric Griffin (Jessica) and Kayla Tavares (Andrew); his great grandchildren, Griffin Tavares, Gavin Tavares, Ganon Tavares, Gage Tavares of Bella Griffin, E. J, Maddison Griffin, Mason Griffin and Braiden Griffin; and his sisters, Joanne Riggs, Phyllis Persinger and Mary Lou James. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
