She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Dunlap and Lillie Dunlap (Peters); her husband Charles E. Smith; her brothers, Gilbert and Virgil Dunlap; and her grandson Adam Kelly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline Turner (Larry) of Kokomo and Janet Kelly (Dean) of Galveston; her sister Jean Bogue of Kokomo; her grandchildren, Brandon Kelly of Galveston, Derrick Turner (Jess King) of Florida and Harmony Cook (Matt); and her great grandchildren, McKenzie Kelly, Izabelle Kelly, Marla Murray and Kailin Cook. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice or Main Street United Methodist Church in Betty's honor.
