It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Smith (Jonesboro, Indiana), born in Gas City, Indiana, who passed away on December 25, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Smithson and Thelma Smithson (Butler); her husband Raymond Gene Smith; her brothers, Jack Smithson and James Smithson; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Smithson and Ellen Smithson; and her nephew Monty Smithson.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Smith of Marion and Curtis Smith (Gaye Lynn Ward) of Oxnard, CA; her granddaughters, Tara Adams (Dillon), Andrea Smith (Mike Willoughby), Hillary Smith (Krista) and Stephenie Dorsey-Cupp (Zack) of Gas City; her cousin Rosa Roby of Elwood; her sister-in-law Jane Smithson of Greenfield; and her pet Maxie. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
