She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Wheet and Martha Wheet (Hawkins); her son Eric Smith; her siblings, Eugene, Montford, Lawrance, Kenneth Wheet, Ronald Wheat, Ruby Wheet Roettger and Ruth Wheet Hensley; and her great grandchild Zeppelin Royer.

She is survived by: her children, Melissa Weales (Mike) of Santa Claus, Ken Smith of French Lick and Henry Smith (Angela) of Indianapolis; her daughter-in-law Mary Smith; her granddaughter Amber Royer (Jeremy); and her great grandchildren, Bradlee Hawkins, Kaylynn, Marley, Maggie and Hendrix Royer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
