He was predeceased by: his parents, Edison Johnson and Leona Johnson; his siblings, George Johnson, Arbutus Reed and Lena Swain; and his son Brian Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Johnson (Shepard); his daughter Arlena Morton; his grandchildren, Chance, Dustin and Amanda; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Brenna, Sawyer, Tucker, Brianna, Hailey, Paisley, Leo, Reece and Raygen.
