It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert C. Mathies of Jasper, Indiana, born in Dubois, Indiana, who passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Mathies and Eleanor Mathies (Stemle); and his siblings, Robert, Elmer Mathies, Mary Lee Lueken and Betty Jean Mathies.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Mathies of Jasper, IN; his children, Angela Hildenbrand (David), Pam Seibert (Brian), Lori Voges (Kevin), Doug Mathies (Jeana) and David Mathies (Babette); his grandchildren, Zachery Zehr, Jordan Mathies, Michaela Mathies, Tiffany Sweet, Amanda Hodges Norman, Cameron, Courtland, Brayden, Landon Betz, Whitney Edmister, Hayley Olinger, Logan and Mackenzie Mathies; and his great grandchildren, Kyler, Halle, Lucy, Ali, Nolan, Grant, Zoe and Presley. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or to the wishes of the family.
