She was predeceased by: her husband James April; her children, James Dennis and Bruce Allen; and her son-in-law Victor Dashiell. She is survived by: her daughter Jayne Slade-Dashiell; her granddaughter Kristin Dashiell of Bangkok, Thailand; her daughter-in-law Kay Passailaigue of Charleston, SC.; her nephews, David Witherspoon of Evansville, Byron Witherspoon and Gary Wright of Charleston, SC.; her siblings-in-law, Richard of Cedar Park, TX, William (Raquel), Patricia Frohbieter (Jerry) of Haubstadt, IN and Karen (Boyd) of Carmel, IN.; her parents, Harley Dearing and Anna Mae Dearing (Miller); and her sisters, Marjorie Witherspoon and Mae Dean Wright. She is also survived by other nephews, and nieces.
