He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Conrad and Wilma Marie Ring (Wibbler). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Ring of Holland; his children, Julie Litkenhus (Thad) of Mackinaw, Nathan Ring (Holly) of Calhoun and Daniel Ring (Lindsie) of Holland; his sister Judy Hubster of Jasper; and his grandchildren, Lydia, Eliza, Aaron, Sawyer, Rachel, Ayla and Noah.

Memorial contributions can be made to Augustana United Church of Christ.
