He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry M. Vaughan and Dolores A. Vaughan (Dammeier); his brother Michael G. Vaughan; and his son-in-law Jason Smitley. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte K. Vaughan of Hoagland, Indiana; his children, Chad S. Vaughan (Lori) of New Haven, Indiana, Stacey R. Fields (Chris) of Hoagland, Indiana and Stephanie K. Brickley (Jason) of Ossian, Indiana; his former husband Steven P. Vaughan, Jr. (Frances) of Bluffton; his brothers, Harry W. Vaughan (Sharon) of Fountain Hills, Arizona and Richard R. Vaughan of Hawkinsville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Allison Vaughan, Aidan Vaughan (Tyler Vaughan), Payton Fields, Preston Fields (Peri Fields) and Jordyn Brickley (Owen Brickley); his stepgrandchildren, Kaylie Fields and Kelsey Fields; and also, Lesli, Lynzi and Daniel. He is also survived by three children.
