She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Werling and Marie Werling (Witte); and her siblings, Erma Henderson (Richard), Ruth Bultemeyer, Iverna Burns (Jerry) and Wilmer Werling.
She is survived by: her husband Robert H. Hegerfeld; her children, Brenda Scherer (Bruce) of Hoagland, Indiana and Stanley; her grandsons, David Hegerfeld of Decatur and Brent Hegerfeld (Shari) of Hoagland, Indiana; her siblings-in-law, Jackie Werling of Ossian, Indiana and Richard Bultemeyer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her grandchildren, Casey Scherer (Shana), Kari Schultz (Zeke), Amy Gutshall (Cole), Ashley Rumple (Bryan), Abby Hegerfeld, Cody Hegerfeld (Serena) and Weston Hegerfeld; and her great grandchildren, Gavin Scherer, Cooper Scherer, Clarke Schultz, Alana Gutshall, Carston Gutshall, Candon Gutshall, Kane Rumple, Aven Rumple and Paxton Hegerfeld.
Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling or Worship Anew.
