She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Elpers and Cecilia Elpers (Hormuth); her husband Leo Kissel; and her grandson Derek Deer. She is survived by: her children, Mildred Vollman (John) of Evansville, Ken Kissel (Marlene) of St. Wendel, Marilyn Kern (Jim) of Haubstadt, Martha Deer (Dan) of Haubstadt and Mary Akin (Brian) of St. Petersburg, FL; and her grandchildren, Matthew Vollman, Julie Newton, Jeff Kissel, Gregg Kissel, Brent Kissel, Ethan Kern, Johnna Kern, Eli Kern, Philip Deer, Tyler Deer, Justin Deer, Jamie Luhring, Cassaundra Carter and Christopher Hisch. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. James Catholic Church.
