She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Helt and Alma Hook Helt of Elizabethtown; her stepmother Nancy Helt; her siblings, Leona Cathleen "Kate" Wiley, Charles Mitchell "Mitch" and Russell "Red" Helt; her husband Merrill A. Jones; her daughter Janice Jones Hicks; and her grandson David Michael Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Michael M. Jones (Debra) of Greenwood, Joyce E. Jones-Myers (Roger) of Anderson and Darryl T. Jones (Kelly); her grandchildren, Matthew and Elizabeth Jones; her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Ruth Jones and Addison McClure; and her great great grandchild Zara Grace Crowden-Jones.
