He was predeceased by: his parents, Eathel Mae Edwards (Poe) and Howard Douglas Hefley Sr.; his wife Loretta Hefley; his son Gary Lohkamp (Pam); his grandson Mark; and his great grandchild Mark II.
He is survived by: his brothers, Allen Snively (Judy) and Gary Mueller (Louise). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
