She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Smith and Pearl Marie Smith (Sparks); her former husband Thomas Robert'Bob'Welch; and her siblings, Louis Smith, Beulah Smith, Ruth Hughey, Joe Smith and Shirley Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughters, Toby (Terry Guolee) and Brenda (Chuck Matthews); her grandchildren, Kala Guolee and Chris Guolee; and her sister Alice Lucas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any organization serving those with dementia.
