He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Edward Garvey and Mabel Madeline Garvey (Tryon); and his sister Barbara Parker. He is survived by: his former wife Mabel J. Garvey (Kelley); his wife Jo; his children, Leonard Garvey Jr. of Cumberland, Marilyn Bannon of Greenfield, Stephanie Reece (Thomas) of Brandenburg, KY, Robert Garvey (Darlene) of Ridgeway, VA and Deborah Shelley (Don) of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Adam, Keri, Sean, Erin, Jeremy, Thomas, Brent, Meredith, Lauren, Chad and Shannon; his siblings, Raymond Garvey of Terre Haute and Verlann Eldridge of Missouri; and his nieces and nephews, Frank, James, Richard, Pam, Joey and Mary Margaret. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
