He was predeceased by: his parents, William Holmes and Mary Holmes (Shelley). He is survived by: his wife Kara Holmes (Ridens); his daughter Ashley Adair (Chris); and his siblings, David Holmes (Dena) and Elizabeth "Libby" Wheeler (Sam).
