She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Slagell and Barbara Slagell (Zehr); her former husband Charles "Vernell" Bontrager; her husband Wesley Zook; and her son Charles Bontrager Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Connie Parker (Donald) of Titusville, Terri Blosser (Phillip) of Bristol, Janice Joldersma (David) of Elkhart and Jay Bontrager (Jan) of Bellevue, Nebraska; her brother Harold Slagel; and her daughter-in-law Pat Bontrager. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
