She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Noland and Beatrice Noland (Sloan); and her sisters, Peggy Lipinski and Patricia Stock. She is survived by: her husband John W. Carter; her sons, Jay W. Carter (Angie) and Jeff A. Carter; her grandchildren, Sarah (George), Keith Carter and Jed Carter (Angel); her great grandchildren, Rose, Eva, Jay Carter, Carter and Marilyn Duke; and also William Noland (Carol).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Abbey of Gethsemani, 3642 Monks Road, Trappist, Kentucky 40051.
