It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Makia Donelle Tartt of Goshen, Indiana, born in Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 24, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her parents, Toby T. Maxwell of Michigan City, IN and Wendy L. Slagle (Vernell) of Goshen, IN; her daughter Dior A. Tartt of Goshen, IN; her sister Myleah Slagle of Ft. Wayne, IN.; her nephew Eli Slagle of Ft. Wayne, IN; and her grandparents, Lloyd and Karen Slagle of Nappanee, IN. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
