She was predeceased by: her parents, Obey Penrose and Elizabeth Penrose (Masserang); her husband John James; her siblings, Gwendolyn Kaylor and Richard Penrose; and her great grandchild Oakleigh Long.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Grimm (Ralph), Jillisa Long (Robert), Jamye Scanlon (Patrick), Jay James (Jennifer), Jeff James (Stacy) and Julia Royce (Mark); and her sister-in-law Suzanne Smith. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
