He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rector and Leah Thelma Rector (Close). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Rector of Dewart Lake; his daughters, Cindy Vining (Myron) of Dewart Lake, Susan Slocum (Kim) of Dewart Lake and Missy Kirkham (Scott) of Dewart Lake; his godson Michael Brown; his grandchildren, Justin Vining (Halie), Nathan Vining, Anthony Gagliano (Mariah), Dayna Gagliano, Taylor Slocum (Tiffany), Paige Slocum and Elizabeth Kirkham; his great grandchildren, Penny Vining, Finnley, Emma Slocum, Makenna, Aidan and Greyson Tharp; his brother-in-law Chip Bevan (Geri); and his nieces and nephews, Tracey Schweitzer (Ray), Valerie Overland (Ken), Ashley Siemer (Paul), Aaron Bevan (Beth) and Todd Bevan (Kelsey).
