Shannon Marie Akers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 23, 2024, at the age of 52, Shannon Marie Akers of Frankfort, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Murphy and Wilma Cottrell (Godbey); her husband Derek Akers; her sister Jennifer Murphy-Royer; and her grandparents, Ezra Godbey, Murl and Effie Murphy.
She is survived by: her grandmother Vivian Godbey; her stepsiblings, Monica Murphy-Blackburn (Scott) and Ryan Cox; her half-brother Lance Murphy; her nephew Dakota Royer; and her brother-in-law Gordon Royer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
