He was predeceased by: his parents, George Benjamin and Dortha Mae Smith (Rigney); his wife Sharon L. Koehl; his stepson William Lewis; and his siblings, Betty Sue Smith, Joyce Hackett and Tommy Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Harris (Kaleb) of Kendleville and Jamie Williams of Frankfort; his stepson David Darling (Terri) of Arizona; and his siblings, James Smith of Frankfort, Larry Smith (Maxine) of Frankfort, Roger Smith of Frankfort, Katy Tarr (Sam) of Frankfort, Janie Dean of Frankfort, Jeff Smith of Frankfort and Brenda Bales (Bob) of Frankfort. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren; and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
