He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Petty and Wilma "Lucille" Petty (Jones). He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sons, John Petty and James Petty (Stafanie); his brother Alan Petty (Tammy); and his grandson Logan Petty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials are to Statewood Baptist Church or Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.
