He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Newmon and Charlene Mims; his brothers, Fred Prestwood Jr. and James Harvey Newmon; his uncle Andrew "Uncle Sonny" Archie; his nephew Vincent Gant; and his niece Twilah Newmon.
He is survived by: his close friend Nannette Bulter; his daughters, Rashonda Gilbreath (Anthony) and Shatwaya Monique Hogue (Carl); his aunts, Patricia Hayes, Robbie Pillion and Rose Collins; his siblings, Charles Edward Newmon, Anyta Macon (Tom), Jacqueline Newmon, Yvonne Harris (Tyree) and Mary Calmes (Willie); and his grandchildren, Dominique Hogue, Da'Nyis Bowman and Emariann Bowman.
