It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter R. Cooper Jr. (Fishers, Indiana), who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cooper and Audrey Cooper; and also Jean. He is survived by: his spouse Char Cooper; his children, Mark (Jill) and Abby (Mark Santurbane); his grandson Walt; his son Walt III (Joy); his grandchildren, Audrey, Claudia Cooper, Harry, Eddie Cooper, Harkin and Colt Santurbane; and also Audrey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Anyone wishing to do more, in lieu of flowers, may want to make a donation to one of the following: (1) the Green Beret Foundation, where Walt III sits on the board and for which Char and Walt have volunteered; (2) the Wallace Shatsky Blackburn Courage Through Cancer Fund, founded by a friend who fought cancer alongside Char; or (3) Circle of Life Hospice, whose chaplain Chuck Bengtson comforted Walt's family at the time of his death.
