It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy E. Vaal (Ferdinand, Indiana), who passed away on October 26, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Heidet and Olivia Heidet (Barth); her husband Alvin J. Vaal; her stepfather Sylvester Schreiner; and her son-in-law Thomas Hazel.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Gerth (Oscar) of Fishers, Rebecca Hazel of Westfield, Vicki Llewellyn of Indianapolis, Cheryl Wigley (Jeff) of Bedford, A. Joseph Vaal (Pam) of Fishers and Mark Vaal (Terri) of Huntingburg; and her brother-in-law Edgar Vaal of Ferdinand. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 20 Great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to honor Dorothy may be made to Christ the King Church Ferdinand.
