He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. "Jimmy" Raines and Cecilia M. Raines (Heagy); his brother James Allen Raines; his brother-in-law Roy Buckner; and his father-in-law Albert W. Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Monica A. Kelly of Elwood; his sons, Joseph A. "Drew" Raines II of Goshen and Alexander M. "Alex" Raines of Elwood; his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Buckner of Anderson, Kim Alsip (Duane) of Anderson, Candy Raines-Petrie (Rick) of Avon and Beth Myers (Reid) of Westfield; his mother-in-law Minda Kelly of Zionsville; and his sister-in-law Erica Davis (Trevor).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Catalyst Youth Center in Elwood or the Autism Foundation through the funeral home.
