He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Cortes and Angela Cortes (Gonzales); and his brother Fundador Cortes. He is survived by: his wife Beatriz Vega-Cortes; his grandchildren, Deja Kerns, Ivelisse Cruz, Anjalise Rivas and Daniel A. Rivas, Jr.; and his siblings, Nilsa Cortes (Ruben R.), Hilda Cruz (Martin) and Jesse Cortes (Rosie).
Because of Covid-19 precautions, the funeral home is limiting guests to 50 people. Masks and Social Distancing is required.
